603 549 km2 – That’s the area of Ukraine. For those of you who prefer miles to kilometers it is about 232 819 mi2. By the way, Ukraine is actually the biggest country of continental Europe.

  45,6 mln – That’s how many people live in Ukraine. 46% of them are men and 54% are women. Lucky Ukrainian men each get more than one woman (1.17 women to be exact).

 Around 900 thousand – In the eternal battle between Android and iOS, Android has won the fight over the territory of Ukraine. With more than 900 thousand users it has overtaken iOS by 29%. The amount of iPhone owners in Ukraine equals up to 500 thousand.has been officially independent since August 24, 1991. This means that just two years ago Ukraine wouldn’t even be able to buy a beer in a regular American bar.

 105 meters – The deepest underground station is located in Kiev. Arsenalna, for that’s the name of the station, goes 105 meters under the surface of planet Earth (that’s about 344 feet). If you turn Big Ben upside-down and dig it into the ground it will go as deep as Arsenalna!

 3,5 meters – Ukrainian traditional music instrument – trembita – is 3,5 meters long (11,5 feet) and is considered to be the longest music instrument in the world. Try playing on that one.

 2,143 mln – The amount of Ukrainians registered on Facebook is a little more than 2 mln. The most popular social network in the country is Vkontakte which contains around 20 mln users.
