Plugin to transfer users between websites
Description: WordPress plugin that identifies the visitor’s location and if there are any limits for users from this country on the website – offers to visit another limits-free website.
Client: Media company
Challenge: Our client is a media company owning several online gambling web-sites. The challenge is that for each country there are special usage restrictions. Even gambling websites that have common platform, may allow or forbid playing particular games for users from particular country. For instance some microgaming casinos have left UK’s market due to VAT increase by 2% from the beginning of the year. That caused several gaming websites to “say no” to customers from the UK. That fact gave a push to develop special plugin that will identify user’s IP address and offer another gambling website to visit (with a splash page) so that visitors could learn the limits and play desired game at another place. So that the customer will no longer lose clients just because they visited uncomparable for their country website.
Solution: To fix that we created special plugin that recognizes the user’s country by IP and then offers him to visit website with no limits for his country. Plugin settings allow to choose and match allowed games to play on the website with users by country. If the user is from the country for whom this game is unavailable, special pop-up (splash page) will appear and plugin will offer user to visit another analogue gambling website where the function is on for him.

Success story: As a result, our customer noticed quick increase of conversion on their country-adjusted websites. Even after introducing new tax, our customer had no need to change advertisers on a number of his websites, conduct reviews etc. By adding this plugin no more customers were missed because of country-specific options.
